I am writing this letter to share with you how pleased I am with my 1986 Nordin Sport Boat. I re-purchsed this boat, which I purchased new in 1987, this past April 2000. After begining a refurbishing process, I was pleased to find that the hull and all of the structural parts were in extremely good condition. With the Evinrude 3.6XP 300hp outboard on this boat it is capable of speeds of 70+ mph.
I have personally owned 34 boats and as well owning a "Power Boat" Marina in Jacksonville. The Nordin Sport is the finest boat I have ever owned. The hull design, craftmanship and the appearance are all contributing factors in my preference for this boat over all others, but the real reason I love this boat is its performance. It is the safest 80mph ride I have ever experienced. I have run it in the St. Johns River, from Jacksonville to Lake George and been offshore in both the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico, all with no concerns about the intergity of the boat. Before purchasing my Nordin back, after ten years , I had decided I did not want anymore boats. When I found out my Nordin for the second time was for sale I had to have it! I have totally rebuilt the outboard motor, purchased a new performance trailer, and updated the entire interior. The outer hull has always looked very impressive and this boat is eye-catching to say the least. Everywhere I go I am asked about the boat and people are amazed at its actual age.
I recommend this boat over all of the boats I have owned or brokered in its class. It is a solid performance hull with extremely good rough water handling characteristics and it has a design that is attractive and timeless. John I am obviously pleased to have found my Nordin and hope to enjoy it for many years to come. Thank you for constructing such a fine example of marine technology.
